NOTE: We are in the process of developing a complete Training Seminar Series on DVD and web/audio. This is requiring Marsh and our other Expert Trainers to be behind camera for the next few months, and not allowing individual or group training until this project is complete. We will provide all of the qualified IdeaFisher clients with the program following it's completion. Thanks for your patience, and in the interim, please leverage the following resources:
1) Go to Amazon.com, at the following link, and order Marsh's bestselling book "The IdeaFisher", which explains by example how to think creatively using IdeaFisher and other association tools. An excellent example of IdeaFisher in action (at a cost of only $2 to $10):
The IdeaFisher(You can read the first chapter FREE by going to this link: The IdeaFisher, Chapter 1Chapter 4 explains how using QBank Questions can drill down into a problem and approach it from an unlimited number of angles,
Check it out here: The IdeaFisher, Chapter 42) With your copy of IdeaFisher loaded and open on your computer, download and explore the Complete User Guide (download here: User Guide. You'll find tips, tricks and applied examples that will be invaluable in your journey through the creative process and through "IdeaFishing".
Ready to become a Master of Your Mind? Then maybe a little training is in order...IdeaFisher is a simple but very "deep" tool for brainstorming.
You can be quite effective and find ideas quickly without going any deeper into the program than the following 5 key points. But if you're a power-user, you can also drill-down into a problem using a slew of functions that are under the pulldown menus on the program. But for now, let's get you started tapping the creative genius that is your brain hooked-up to IdeaFisher:
The following will help you maximize IdeaFisher without getting bogged down:
1-Find the area of business you want to explore. Let's say it's advertising.
Select the Advertising module under the QBank menu.2-Click to the IdeaPad the question that seem most relevant at the moment. There may be 10 to 100 that you may have the bandwidth to address over a day or session.
3- Copy these questions and paste into a Word document. Save it as the name of the project, 1.0 (the next iteration will be project1.1.doc, project1.2.doc, etc...)
4- Using keywords from the questions (words that seem most relevant), go to the IdeaBank and do a word search. You'll come up with tens to dozens of relevant words and phrases that would help fill in the blanks on your QBank questions. Peripheral thinking comes into play here. Disengage your linear thought process, and you'll find a wealth of new ideas floating in the periphery of your mind.
5- Start composing sentences that spring to mind as a result of the words and as answers to the questions. You'll find the resulting sentences to be loaded with rich content and the core elements of your ad campaign.
I've composed hundreds of campaigns this way, founded two ad agencies... and sold them, based on the power within this software. We never had a moment where we had to wander across a creative desert, as we could always drink from the IdeaFisher fountain. So this is not some conceptual process, but a very real and tangible approach to creating and solving real-world problems. Have fun with it, and you'll experience a level of creativity you may believe was reserved only for the best and brightest.
Have fun, and we wish you the very best in 2004.
